The Trail
Please note that this trail is located in the Heber Valley Camp, which is owned by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Because this trail is on private property, it is only available for use by those staying at the camp. This camp is used by Young Women camp groups and families who wish to rent sites for family gatherings here. While this information thus has value to only a very small audience, I am still including it in this blog for anyone who may find this information helpful.
This moderate loop trail is 2.6 miles long (round trip) with about a 480 foot elevation change. We started by heading right where the loop split off rather than continuing along the dirt road here.

The trail goes fairly steeply uphill at first before reaching a ridge with some nice views of the surrounding area. After going across the ridge, the trail descends back into forested areas and crosses a bridge over a stream. It continues to go up and down a bit before it descends toward the dirt road and the swampy area adjacent to the road. It is easy to follow and well marked where it intersects with other trails.
We found that this trail had clouds of mosquitoes most places along it. We were told that the rain brings them out, and it had just rained the night before, making the problem worse. However, we highly recommend wearing bug repellent while hiking this trail.
Directions
This trail is located in Wasatch County, Utah in the Heber Valley Camp owned by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Because this trail is on private property, it is only available for use by those staying at the camp. To get there within the camp, follow the main road, Heber Valley Camp Pkwy, to the end just past the Reeder Campsite. There is a gate across the road after this, but there is parking in the dirt loop just before the road. The road makes up part of the loop, so head up it to the turn off for the Eagle Loop Trail on the right. The Trail is well labeled.
